From time to time the Presbyterian Church of Manchester publishes position papers addressing matters where clarity is needed. Our aim is not to provoke or offend, but to speak plainly so that no one is misled about what we believe or teach.
The Church is called to be an ambassador for Christ and a light in the world. For that reason we believe it is better to speak clearly than to hide our convictions. When disagreement arises, our hope is that people will take time to read carefully and understand what we are saying and why.
Though some of these positions may be controversial in our present culture, they are written with charity and with love for our neighbors. Our prayer is that the Presbyterian Church of Manchester would be a home and a place of rest for repentant sinners everywhere.
