Christ is the Head of the Church. He rules and cares for His people through ordained officers whom He calls and equips for service (Ephesians 4:11-12; 1 Timothy 3). These officers are of two kinds, as set down by Scripture: Elders (sometimes called Bishops or presbyters) and Deacons.
In addition to these offices, Christ teaches us in His Word that the Church, being His body, is composed of many members, with gifts particularly suited to the worship and the work of the Church. This includes the work of our church administrator who supports the life and ministry of the congregation.
In Presbyterian churches, elders are charged with the spiritual oversight of the congregation. They shepherd the flock, guard sound doctrine, pray for and with the people, and oversee the worship and discipline of the church.
We recognize two kinds of elders, though they are equal in authority:
Rev. Mike Robison
Pastor Mike serves as the teaching elder of PCM, devoting himself to preaching, teaching, prayer, and pastoral care. He works together with the Session (the body of elders) to shepherd the congregation and oversee the ministry of the church.
Kevin Brown
Brad Hensley
George Mancini
(Elder Emeritus)
Brian Pajot
Tom Robison
(Clerk, Treasurer)
Mel Sharp
Together with the pastor, these men form the Session of PCM, providing spiritual oversight, shepherding care, and leadership for the congregation.
The office of deacon is a ministry of mercy and service (Acts 6; 1 Timothy 3).
Paul Hammer
Michael Plausse
Bill Upjohn
Our deacons care for the physical assets of the Church as well as the material and practical needs of the congregation and coordinate ministries of compassion both within the church and in the broader community.
While not an ordained office, our church administrator plays a vital role in supporting the life and ministry of the congregation.
Robin Sharp
Robin assists with communication, scheduling, records, and the day-to-day administrative needs that help the church function smoothly and efficiently.
