YOU(th) Group
The YOU(th) Group meets on Saturday nights (7-9:30 p.m.) a couple times a month at the church (a.k.a., S.N.A.C. meetings), plus one off-site “Escape” or on-site “Escapade” a month (usually Saturday nights too—but schedules change from month to month, so call the church office to find out what’s happening this week/month!) Youth are added to our mailing list after they have attended once or twice and will receive monthly calendars and activity notices by snail-mail and/or email so they (and their parents) will always know what we’re doing.
Some of the things we did this past year were: a gym night, an 8-week study of the Gospel of John, a Corn Maze, a hike, game nights, a SwimThing at a friend’s pool, a study of Christian World View, service projects, a fall retreat at Cape Cod, a creek walk and bonfire at another friend’s place, an outdoor game day, a 4-week study of the book of Jonah, a progressive dinner, a week-long mission trip to Fairmont, WV and lots of other generalized silliness. We currently have another retreat planned for the month of March and are already beginning work on next summer’s mission trip. Come join us! (Youth do not need to be members of the Presbyterian Church of Manchester—in fact, we currently draw from about 11 different area churches—so don’t think you have to quit yours in order to attend this one—we recognize “dual youth group citizenship” so you can have more than one without feeling disloyal!)
